Historical Note:

Joe Frank Head was born in Cartersville, Georgia. He received an A.A. degree from Reinhardt College in Waleska, Georgia, in 1970, and a B.A. degree in 1972 and a Master's degree in Adult and Higher Education in 1976 from Georgia Southern College in Statesboro, Georgia. Head accepted a position with Tift College in 1974 as an admissions officer. After taking a leave of absence to finish his coursework, he returned to Tift College from 1976 to 1981, serving as the Dean of Admissions and Acting Registrar. From 1981 to 1984, Head served as the Associate Registrar and Director of Recruitment at Georgia Southern College. In 1984 he accepted the position of Director of Admissions for Kennesaw College with the retirement of Thomas Rogers. At his retirement in 2010, Joe Head was the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment.

Joe F. Head arrived at Kennesaw College in 1984 with his wife, Deborah J. Head, who started work in the graduate office. At the time of her retirement in 2007, Debbie Head was the Director of Institutional Research.
