Historical Note: Jonathan W. Lewin was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He received a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Witwatersrand University in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1962 and a post-graduate advanced honors degree in 1964. After teaching at Witwatersrand University and Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, Israel, Lewin received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin. In 1983, Dr. Lewin joined the faculty of Kennesaw College as an Assistant Professor. Advancing to a full Professor of Mathematics, Lewin was the recipient of the KSU Foundation Distinguished Teaching Award in 2012. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Dr. Lewin is a Cantor and a member of the Atlanta Jewish Male Choir.
