Historical Note: June R. Krise was born in Gadsden, Alabama. She moved with her family to Decatur, Georgia, later graduating from Gordon High School in 1965. After attending Marsh Daughon Business College in Atlanta, Georgia, Krise received an associate degree in Nursing from Kennesaw State University in 1976. While attending Kennesaw State, Krise served as student government president during the 1974-1975 school year. After graduating, she was a founding member of the Kennesaw State University Alumni Association, which was incorporated on June 13, 1977. Krise served two terms as president of the Alumni Association from 1980 to 1981 and 1987 to 1988.
