Historical Note: James B. Tate joined the faculty of Kennesaw Junior College in 1967 as an instructor of History. He retired from the university in 1993 as an associate professor of History. Tate received a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University in 1959 and a Master's degree from George Peabody College (now part of Vanderbilt University) in 1960.
